Illuminate will bring an impressive spectacle of light projections, music, art installations and performance to Whitehorse.

The Illuminate Projection Show

Illuminate - Box Hill Town HallIlluminate will transform the front façade of the Box Hill Town Hall with a spectacular light and projection commission that weaves images, sound and multimedia in a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the City of Whitehorse. The Illuminate Projection Show is a stunning visual reel of Whitehorse footage and animation projected onto the stark white façade of the Town Hall – transforming it into a colourful, vivid work of art. Accompanying the commission is a dramatic musical score created from the archives of the City’s much loved Whitehorse Orchestra.

The Big White Horse

Come and see the finished ‘Big White Horse’. Standing at an impressive 5 metres, this beautiful bamboo creature will be crafted in the foyer of the Town Hall and decorated using thousands of white flowers created by the students from 16 schools across Whitehorse. The community is invited to assist the artist as she covers the horse in its flowery veil on Tuesday 25 November from 10.30am-4pm in the foyer of the Town Hall.
